DR. Aakruti Bhalja, DPM was raised in New Jersey and attended Rutgers University. She completed her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, nutrition and psychology. Throughout college, she was involved in volunteering at local hospitals, nursing homes and traveled overseas to participate in service work. She then received her doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she gained extensive knowledge of all aspects of the lower extremity. During her time there, she was involved in a service trip to Kolkata, India which served the local underprivileged diabetic population.

Having trained with some of the top surgeons in America, she can offer advanced minimally invasive treatments for foot problems such as Bunions, Hammertoes, Corns, and Flat Foot. Due to her expertise, many podiatry residents in training scrub into her cases to learn her techniques. She provides lectures for various medical staff including doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, and residents, on various topics on the diseases of the foot and surgical techniques.
