With over 30 years of elite clinical experience, he provides state-of-the-art operative and non-operative care to keep patients and athletes active and pain-free.

Dr. Mark J. Mendeszoon, DPM, FACFAS, FACPM, brings over three decades of premier clinical and surgical expertise to Downtown Physicians.

A graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, he completed residency training at Harvard Medical School affiliate hospitals (Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center) followed by a prestigious two-year advanced orthopedic foot and ankle fellowship in the Cleveland region.

Over his distinguished career, Dr. Mendeszoon has served as Chief of Podiatry at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center for over 20 years and has been a trusted team physician and consultant for high schools, collegiate programs, and four Olympic Summer Games (London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020,

and Paris 2024).

Dr. Mendeszoon's approach to patient care centers on comprehensive, evidence-based treatment tailored to each individual’s lifestyle and goals—combining conservative management, advanced biomechanics, and leading-edge surgical techniques.

As a dedicated Fellowship Director, educator, published clinical researcher, and running specialty innovator, he is committed to helping patients of all activity levels restore mobility and return to the activities they love.
